The last time around I showed you an amazing property of the Mobius strip.
A normal loop of paper has 2 sides but a Mobius strip has just one. A normal paper loop loses one of its sides when converted into a Mobius loop.
Today, let’s explore what happens when we cut a Mobius loop along its length.
For comparison, let us make a normal paper loop. And a Mobius paper loop too…
Cut the normal paper loop along its length… What do we get? Two loops of the same length right.
Now, let’s repeat the same thing with the Mobius loop. Woo hoo! What did we get?. Not two loops. Rather, one loop that has doubled in size.
Thrilling isn’t it?
